Soletrader Collaboration – Styling Karl Lagerfeld Kapri Trainers

I was lucky to be approached by Soletrader for a recent collab and I loved it..Soletrader is a family run business and sells so many brands and some really cool shoes and trainers. They have quite a few stores across the UK and they stock some amazing footwear!

I got to choose any pair of shoes I wanted from the website, and whilst I was looking I discovered so many brands that I never knew Soletrader sold. They stock Moschino, Versace, DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors and so many more..they have a designer aspect that makes it stand out from other shoe retailers on the high street which I love.

I chose a pair of Karl Lagerfeld trainers that are like Alexander McQueen inspired – this style is the ‘Kapri Logo’ trainer. I originally wanted the ones with the mini Karl figure on the side as I thought they were quite cute and different but as these were out of stock I got the Kapri Logo Trainers which I absolutely love! They’re so comfortable, go with literally everything and retail at £165, meaning you can get the designer look without paying £300+.

About Karl Lagerfeld..

I loved the trainers when I saw them online but I also LOVE Karl Lagerfeld as a brand and Karl’s previous work for Chanel. He also used to work with Fendi, but he is supposedly one of the reasons that Chanel is what it is today. He did a lot of work for Chanel resulting in hugely successful haute couture collections and massive growth for the business – I’m obsessed with some of the catwalk looks he did! He then created his own fashion house Karl Lagerfeld which combines Parisian-inspired styles with an effortless, chic ease and sells some really cute stuff.

I picked up the shoes from Soletrader’s social media exec at the Soletrader in intu Watford and we spoke in store – the store itself is really nice and is easy to shop. They had loads of cute shoes I literally want them all!! I especially love a small lit up section near the front that houses a few designers such as DKNY, Michael Kors and Veja (these are super on trend right now) and has loads of different styles to choose from.

Styling The Trainers

Paris

I did a lot of casual and street looks with these trainers (mainly because it’s cold at the minute) but they’re super versatile and I can’t wait to wear them with cute day dresses in summer. They go with sooo many outfits both dressed up and down!

So my first outing in my new babies…pre Paris shopping at the Trafford Centre in Manchester – because is it even a holiday if you don’t do a rushed shop the day before and panic buy everything in sight?

Pre Holiday Shopping

I styled them here with leather look pants (they’re loose fitting, sort of jogger style) a zip up leather puff sleeve top and a black and cream Marc Jacobs bag (will probs be featured in every pic for the foreseeable future as it’s also my new baby). The Karl trainers are also great because they’re black and white meaning they’re really easy to wear and style.

Airport Outfit

Leaving for Pari! I went for a monochrome airport look with black coated jeans and a white belted utility jacket, again the cream and black bag and the Karl trainers. Really comfy shoes for the airport and were nice for walking round in!

City Exploring… @ The Louvre

This was one of my fave Paris outfits which was on the day when we explored a lot of the city. Here I styled the trainers with leather look leggings, a white puff sleeve shirt with nude bandeau, black leather jacket, the famous Marc Jacobs bag yet again and cat eye sunglasses. We walked a lot this day and they were so comfortable and my feet didn’t hurt at any point (always a bonus).

Same look @ Eiffel Tower
A bit more chic

A more dressed up look..a white ruffled blouse, leather look leggings accessorised with a Gucci scarf and light pink bag featuring my fave balcony ever. Trainers don’t have to be casual and can easily be dressed up with blazers / blouses / cute tops which I do all the time, the Karl ones are good for doing this with as they’re still quite girly!

Disneyland the same day

I wore the ruffled blouse outfit to go to Disneyland and just swapped my bag and again they were so good for walking round in. They have a really chunky sole meaning they’re really comfy so are perfect for no matter where you’re going!

A more sophisticated look

Another smart casual look.. black jeans and a puff sleeve white blazer with the Karl Lagerfeld Kapri trainers.

White leather belted jacket, black leather leggings and the trainers… accessories with sunglasses & gold LV padlock

Dressed up casual : monochrome leather on leather with added details through accessorising.

Super casual days..

There’s actually so many ways you can style these trainers and I think they’re definitely worth the money – they’re really high quality, really on trend as well as being easy to style and you’re able to wear them with so many different outfits. And on top of all that they’re the comfiest shoes ever! Soletrader sell a selection of Karl Lagerfeld shoes along with loads of really cool brands, the link to their website is below x
